Several years ago, the fire behaviour of the Jabitherm Rapid system was tested by the plant fire department of the company BASF at Ludwigshafen.
During that fire test the competing pipe systems were subject to a fire treatment using an anorganic liquid at a temperature of 1000°C. Please click here find a short film clip documenting the experiment.
The fire test revealed that our PUR-foam insulated Jabitherm pipe showed a better fire resistance than the conventionally insulated pipe featuring mineral wool as insulating material.
In order to meet further requirements concerning fire behaviour Jabitherm is able to provide a certified low flammability quality B1 on demand (according to fire resistance standard DIN 4102-1).
Corresponding to our thorough quality management this certificate is issued by the office for material inspection North Rhine-Westphalia (MPA Materialprüfungsamt Nordrhein-Westfalen).
